Finally got the motorhome into the repair shop. They told us we had two repairmen for 3 hours to fix all of our issues, otherwise they were booking two and a half weeks out.
After 3 hours, they had all things repaired except a paint issue on the front hood. This is a minor issue that can be fixed later.
I told Sue that I was going to pick up the motorhome and settle the bill. Sue reminded me that we were told it would only cost us our deductible of $100. She told me to be strong and only pay the $100 deductible and no more. To me, things are never that easy,
When I went to check out with the cashier, she handed me a bill for $348. I thought, here we go. I explained to the cashier that we were told our $100 deductible was all we would have to pay and that if the bill was more than $100 my wife was going to disown me. After telling her, she left to talk to the Service Manager, when she came back, she told me there would be no charges for the repairs. I thought to myself, Wow, but told her thank you very much. Of course Sue was happy to here the good news.
Now the bad news. I drove the motorhome back to our camp site and when I went to use the door, it would not latch properly (we have had this latch issue fixed several times before without success). I went back to the shop to find the employees had gone home for the day. I rescheduled the repair for tomorrow.
Looks so lonely in there.
More bad news today. We woke up to 23 degrees with snow and ice on the ground. Of course with ice everywhere some workers weren't able to make it in. It is now 10:30am and still no call to report to the shop. I'm thinking we may be here another day :-(Day 12 to 15
Our Shivering Puppies
Ellie and Wall-E's first snow. They were shaking the whole time we had them out. Neither of them could find a good place to potty because the grass was covered with snow. They finally decided to go on the snow. I guess they figured the faster they went, the faster they could get back to the warm motorhome.Well I'm sure you are wondering what happened to days 13, 14 & 15. Our time at Tiffin Service center was extended because to door was not repaired right. It literally took 2 more days to get them to fix it right. We were not leaving until it was fixed.
On day 14, they finally fixed to door correctly. Believe it or not, it came down to adding a washer to the door latch. It took all of about 3 minutes.
We spent day 15 there because of the icing conditions on the roads in the area.
Just catching up with your trip. Sorry about the delays but on the bright side, although you spent more time there than you wanted, it cost you no actual cash AND the door is fixed!!! (just being Mary Rose :) ) And, if you keep the pups in the snow enough, they might just start like doing their business in the snow (Samantha prefers it lol!!)
